London bargains

After some serious shopping in London it can be good to try my list of London bargains for free or cheap things to do in London, to keep the budget.

1. Free Art in London - Visit the National Gallery. Extraordinary paintings and no entrance fee. Go to room 43 to see the waterlilies by Monet, the sunflowers by van Gogh and so many more famous paintings. (close to Trafalgar Square) http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/

2. Cheap Afternoon Tea in London - Make your own lovely afternoon tea. Coffee, scones and gorgeous cakes at good prices at the Patisserie Valerie. Eat there or take away. Address: ‪15, York House‬, ‪Great Cumberland Place, London.  (close to Marble Arch) http://www.patisserie-valerie.co.uk/

3. Free Park in London - Take a walk in the royal park Green Park. A lovely park to take a walk and see the beautiful gate to Buckingham Palace. http://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/green-park


4. Cheap shopping in London - The place to shop super cheap clothes must be Primark. But go there very early as the queues are super long. Address: 499 Oxford street. (close to Marble Arch) http://www.primark.com

5. Free music in London. There are some free concerts in London. What´s on has the updated list. Visit it to see what is on when you are in London. http://www.timeout.com/london/music/free-music-in-london

Top 10 restaurants in Copenhagen

I really like Copenhagen in Denmark. A lovely city with many nice restaurants.





Here are my top favorites, the top 10 best restaurants in Copenhagen. Well actually 11. Enjoy!
  1. Have dinner in the restaurant Nimb Brasserie at Tivoli. Gorgeous food and great interior design. 
  2. The best sushi in Denmark at Sticks´n Sushi. Fab food! It is located in the Tivoli congress hotel. It is not very close to the centre but the food is great so it is worth a visit. Address: Arni Magnussons Gade 2. 
  3. Excellent modern fish restaurant in the meat packing district. Just love it! But not the nicest area in during the night. Take a cab! Address: Flæsketorvet 100 www.fiskebaren.dk
  4. Great food at the Dansih restaurant PUK. Address: Vandkunsten 8. The building has been used for a restaurant since 1750. Excellent food in a genuine environment. http://www.restaurantpuk.dk/ It is quite close to the city hall square 
  5. Excellent fine dining with a view of Copenhagen at the Alberto K restaurant. Adress: Hammerichsgade 1. It is located on the top flor in the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel. 
  6. Genuine Danish food at the restaurant Skindbuksen. Live music Tuesday - Saturday. Address: Lille Kongensgade 4. Reserve in advance! http://www.skindbuksen.dk/
  7. Nice Italian restaurant Italiano with live music entertainment. Address Fiolstrade 2, www.italiano.dk 
  8. Lunch at Danish Restaurant Nytorv (address Nytorn 15). Do try the Danish speciality Smörrebröd (sandwhiches). 
  9. Try something different. Crocodile starter and kangaroo fillet. Nice food at the Australian restaurant Reef N Beef. Address: Jernbanegade 4. It is close to the city hall square. http://en.reefnbeef.dk/ 
  10. Kanal Cafeen serves Danish sandwhiches with a view of the canal. Address: Frederiksholms Kanal 18. Reserve in advance!
  11. Peder Oxe is a popular danish restaurant on a lively square. Address: Grabrodretorv 11.
